invisible continuation

exploring the artwork of tricia coyle

In her previous career, Tricia Coyle worked in a laboratory as a registered Cytotechnologist. Her job consisted of analyzing cells and diagnosing abnormalities, such as cancer and infections.

In 2014, Coyle left the field of cytology and focused on her passion for art. Her abstract photography and paintings are Coyle's interpretations of the complexities of the cellular material she previously analyzed, by highlighting color (cells) and disguising faces (patients), while her  minimal photography relates to the negative space dispersed between cell groups.
